Jessica Jones
Dog Program Manager and Transport Manager
Jess Jones has always had a heart for animals, often bringing home stray cats and dogs during her childhood in West Virginia. In 2015, her passion led her to Paws for Life, where she became a foster caregiver and quickly immersed herself in the rescue world. By 2017, Jess joined Second Chance as a volunteer, all while balancing a part-time role as a kennel technician and veterinary assistant at a Wake Forest hospital. Though her time in veterinary medicine was fulfilling, Jess is thrilled to be fully dedicated to her passion for rescue as the Dog Program Manager and Transport Manager at Second Chance. When she’s not working, you can find Jess managing her 47-acre farm, where she juggles an ever-growing list of projects with her 4 children, a pack of special-needs dogs, several cats, 3 horses, pigs, goats, and a continually expanding flock of chickens.
