You can volunteer as an individual or a company/group.

Important Details:

Age Requirement:

  • Minors age 16-17 may volunteer for Cat Care and Facility Helper roles without parental accompaniment if parent/guardian completes the youth waiver form by clicking to right.
  • Minors age 13-15 must always be with a parent/guardian and are not able to interact with dogs. Accompanying parent/guardian must complete the youth waiver form by clicking to the right, will be the volunteer and must perform expected duties of the enrolled activity.

Court-Ordered Community Service: We can only accept misdemeanor offenses. We do not accept animal cruelty or neglect offenses. Hours to be completed must be <80 hours.

Youth Waiver Form

IN CONSIDERATION of being permitted to volunteer with Second Chance Pet Adoptions, and for other good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the UNDERSIGNED:

  1. HEREBY RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE Second Chance Pet Adoptions (“Second Chance”), its officers and directors, and its volunteers (hereinafter referred to as “Releasees”) from all liability to the undersigned, his personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin for any and all loss or damage, and any claims or demands which may be asserted on account of any injury or property damage (1) caused by a pet in the Second Chance program; (2) sustained while at a Second Chance facility; or (3) sustained while attending a Second Chance event, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.
  2. HEREBY EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGES that he is assuming any risk of injury or property damage (1) caused by a pet in the Second Chance program; (2) sustained while at a Second Chance facility; or (3) sustained while attending a Second Chance event, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise. 

THE UNDERSIGNED HAS READ AND VOLUNTARILY SIGNS THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY.
