Emily Catherine Baker

Emily Catherine steps into her role as Director of Development with a decade of grants and fundraising experience and a deep passion for community-centered care. With a background in social work, she sees firsthand how animal welfare and human wellness go hand in hand, believing that truly resilient communities are built by supporting people and animals together. She is eager to partner with Second Chance’s incredible donor network to build sustainable, long-term support for its lifesaving mission. Outside of work, Emily Catherine and her husband love exploring the outdoors, browsing local bookstores, catching live music, and cheering on the Canes—all under the watchful eye of their cat, Prospera, who keeps close tabs on the neighborhood birds from her favorite window perch.
