Stephanie Wright

Steph brings 20 years of combined experience in veterinary, sneute and rescue settings, human services and mental health, animal rescue, fostering, and TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), including 10 years in cat rescue leadership. She specializes in caring for medically needy cats and neonatal kittens and has fostered 1,000+ cats along the way! Steph has loved the matchmaking process in fostering and finding that furrever home for any animal she has fostered. A lifelong animal lover, Steph’s home in the Bull City is shared with her spouse, Drew and a clowder of cats, including (but certainly not limited to!) Polly Ester & Penny Loafer, Big Foot, Neo, Moogle & Meepers, Pompom, and Pixel. Their crew also includes special-needs and displaced feral cats, rescue rabbits, and four cat loving dogs: Rescue hunting dog old man Rex, Turkish street dog- Nimbus, one of Durham's finest House Hippo's- Pip, and a Dumpster Found Frenchie- Figment. Originally from North Carolina, Steph is proud to call Bull City home and is excited to join the Second Chance team and bring her experience, compassion, and love for animals (and humans too) to the team!
