12:00 pm-8:00 pm 04/03/2023 3801 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27607  Visit Ben and Jerry’s between noon and 8:00 p.m. on April 3 to get a FREE scoop of ice cream in a cup or cone! That’s right–F.R.E.E.! It’s their annual Free Cone Day, and this year, Second Chance and our adoptable dogs will be on-site at the Hillsborough Street location in Raleigh (the dogs will arrive around 2:00-3:00 and stay for the day).

| 13 - Bark in the Park

Bring your best four-legged friend to enjoy the Durham Bulls baseball game with you–tickets for the 2023 season are on sale now! The sale of each dog ticket is donated by the Bulls to the animals here at Second Chance, so it’s a great time for a great cause! The 2023 dates are April 13, May 17, June 15, July 5, August 10, and September 13. To get tickets for you and your dog, click HERE. You must purchase tickets in sections 128, 130, 132, or 134, or tickets on the lawn, and you must purchase a ticket for your dog. As usual, Second Chance volunteers will be ready and excited to “pet sit” your pup while you grab food/drinks or use the bathroom or access parts of the stadium where non-service dogs are not allowed. 16 - Kickball League Donation Drive (and Games!)
1:00 pm-4:00 pm 04/16/2023 505 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27601  All My Pitches presents: Paws and Effect, a fundraiser for Second Chance’s animals! Bring supplies from our wish list with you when you come to watch the Stonewall Raleigh league’s kickball games (inside of the track circle) at 1:00, 2:00, or 3:00. Second Chance will be there for the final game of the day and can accept donations by cash, check, credit card, or Venmo.

12:00 pm-1:30 pm 04/29/2023 1014 Ryan Rd, Cary, NC 27511  To celebrate volunteer Tim Chlopowicz raising over $46,000 for our animals, we’ll be at Mac’s Tavern on Saturday, April 29 (noon – 1:30) to show off dogs, watch some people take a pie to the face, and raise money through a 50/50 cash raffle.
