Second Chance Pet Adoptions is growing and we need go-getters to help strengthen our programs! As of August 2023, we’re recruiting for diverse leaders with expertise in at least one of the following areas to join our Board of Directors:
- sales/marketing
- IT/web design
- graphic design
- management
- Human Resources
- fundraising
- communications
- grant writing
- finance and investments
In addition, you must:
- love animals and be passionate about the cause of improving the lives of cats and dogs.
- live in the Triangle area of NC. Board members are expected to attend our two largest fundraisers each year: Racing for Rescues in May and the Evening of Pawsibilities in September.
- contribute up to five hours of your time per month (or more depending on active projects), including once-monthly board meetings via Zoom and serving on one or more committees of the board. Board members are expected to leverage personal relationships and connections to help identify and solicit potential donors, as well as directly invest in Second Chance’s work by making a personal monetary contribution each year.
- be willing to commit to at least one full term. Board terms last for two years and board members can serve for up to four consecutive terms.
