With the arrival of August, summer may be winding down, but Second Chance is gearing up! We’re all in planning mode for the 17th annual Evening of Pawsibilities (and you should be too! event and raffle tickets are available now!), and we’ve been making plans with Bombshell Beer Company to give you a great end-of-summer event with Pints for Pooches on National Dog Day (known to us humans as August 26).
After making the most of the summer, the memories will last forever–but the smells shouldn’t! While you’re busy getting ready for back-to-school season, Second Chance can take a chore off your hands (and your back, and your knees!) and wash your doggy for you at our monthly Dog Wash at Unleashed on Creedmoor (August 19, 11:00 – 3:00).

Beer. BBQ. Best buddies (two-legged and four-legged). Those are all the ingredients you need to have a great time, but we’re adding a raffle and tours to the mix to bring it over the top! Raffle tickets are on sale now (need not be present to win the Bombshell Bundle, Pawty Night Package, Bow Wow Basket, or Second Chance Swag) and tour spots are going fast (just over half remain!) so get in on the fun now!

Meet Audrey
This beautiful 5-year-old girl is looking for her forever family! We rescued her as a stray in June; she is still a bit shy, but we know that with a patient family, she will open up and become a confident kitty! She has a ton of love to give, so come and meet her sometime soon!
Are you missing the celebration?
Second Chance Pet Adoptions turns 30 this year, and we’re in the midst of the celebration! In addition to our $30 for 30 drive, we’re collecting pet photos and videos for our Family Tree, so if you’ve adopted a Second Chance animal, be sure they’re represented! We’re over 80% of the way to our goal, but there’s still time to get in on this pawty and help us bring it–and bring animals–home!
