I thought you might like to know how Hilda's first night in her forever home went. She never made a peep on the drive home. In fact the only sound from her is purring, long and loud. Since Isabelle was more or less isolated, I let Hilda explore..all 3 floors. She obviously enjoyed it. She checked out the food and litterbox situation and then joined Isabelle and me on the couch. Isabelle growled but Hilda was unconcerned and continued to knead her paws with her sharp little nails into my belly. Several times she crawled onto my lap. I was pretty busy petting 2 cats. She follows me around alot and watched me shower in the bathroom. I grow some tall green grass for Isabelle to chomp on. Hilda found it and took a chew herself. When I got into bed she joined me like she has been doing it forever. She snuggled next to me and did her kneading and purring. I feel like I was the one who was adopted! Hilda is exactly what we needed. She is so mellow that I am sure it will not take long for Isabelle to accept her.
Thank you and all the staff and caretakers who took such great care of Hilda. I feel so lucky to live with these 2 great gals who were given a second chance.
