Tale of a Starving Feline......

everyday when we arrive home from work we are greeted at the door by a sitting feline waiting for her Whisker Lickin's food pouch (of which she gets about a third of the pouch); on top of that she always has a bowl of dry food filled for her to eat at her convenience; and pounce treats from me, Colin and whoever else she can weasel them from each morning.,noon, or nite...Well, last nite, I decided to thaw out 2 (approx'ly 5-6" pieces of salmon) for dinner in water/corningware dish on the counter.....Jerry and I were watching a little tv and talking....I/we hear a louder than usual thump and know instinctively that it is her royal majesty on the counter/and/or jumping off the count again.....so I do my usual and yell her name, see no sign of her there and dismiss anything occurring....short time later I go to the sink to see the progression of the thawing and look into the corningware dish and it really does not register with me at first that there is only one piece of salmon....when it does occur that I am down by one piece, I turn around and lo and behold guess who is on the floor eating away at the 2nd piece! Sooooooo, Jerry asks what's the matter, and I respond "nothing"....so I pick it up and wash it off, cut off the pieces she's been gnawing on and cook it up anyways. Needless to say I did not tell the boys what transpired. Meanwhile you would have thought she was starving the way she carried on while it was being cooked and when we finally sat down and ate, the boys readily shared their salmon with her while I referred to her as a thief! (nobody asked why)I will have to get a camera here at school so that you can verify for your very eyes how thin and scrappy looking she is. Also, finished with the prednisone a good while ago and so far she's not been coughing any. Hope our luck holds! Doubt it will for thievery tho!
